Startup Fundraising & Investor Relations Partner

About the role

Waqaram is seeking a seasoned fundraising and investor relations professional to lead its capital‑raising efforts, connect with the right investors, and manage the end‑to‑end fundraising process.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy targeting angel investors, venture capital firms, family offices, and strategic investors both in Pakistan and internationally.
• Leverage existing networks to secure warm introductions, build and manage a targeted investor pipeline, and coordinate meetings, due diligence, and data‑room preparation.
• Refine the fundraising narrative, investment proposition, and use‑of‑funds plan while advising on milestones, investor expectations, and potential structures.
• Maintain transparent reporting on introductions, conversations, and pipeline progress, and identify suitable accelerators and strategic funding opportunities.

Required profile

• Demonstrable experience in startup fundraising, venture capital, angel investing, or investor relations with a verifiable network of relevant investors.
• Track record of helping early‑stage startups raise pre‑seed or seed capital, especially in technology marketplaces, e‑commerce, fintech, or creator economies.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills with the ability to work independently in an early‑stage environment.
• Willingness to start with a lean engagement and grow the relationship as the company progresses.
