Assistant Manager Production - Pharma

About the role

The Assistant Manager Production will oversee and supervise production activities and staff at a healthcare factory, reporting to the Production Manager. This role focuses on ensuring product quality, cost control, and efficient manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure products are produced and stored according to documentation and quality standards.
• Approve production instructions, enforce in‑process controls, and verify production records before release to quality control.
• Maintain department premises and equipment, and ensure process validations and equipment calibrations are performed and recorded.
• Manage training of production personnel and adapt it to needs.
• Define, propose and implement annual production plans, cost management, and new product costing models.
• Analyse budgets, control production costs, identify waste, and implement corrective measures.
• Oversee all production activities, including maintenance, workforce management, logistics, warehousing and raw material stock.

Required profile

• B.Pharm, M.Pharm or Pharm‑D with at least 3 years of production line experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross‑disciplinary collaboration.
• Highly motivated, organized and able to present concise summaries to middle management.

• Technical expertise in processing and manufacturing within the pharmaceutical sector.
