Planning Manager

About the role

The Planning Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Karachi, responsible for leading project planning and scheduling activities across multiple industrial projects. This role oversees the development and maintenance of detailed project schedules, resource plans, and work breakdown structures to ensure timely and efficient execution of fabrication, installation, maintenance, and shutdown operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare reports and dashboards, update planning tools, and analyze project performance.
• Coordinate with project management, engineering, procurement, and site teams to track progress, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, resource allocation plans, and work breakdown structures.
• Support decision‑making through data‑driven insights and contribute to continuous improvement of planning processes, tools, and standards.

Required profile

• Strong project planning and scheduling skills using tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar software.
• Experience in industrial projects (Oil & Gas, Fertilizer, Power, Cement or related sectors) with familiarity with fabrication, erection, maintenance, and shutdown activities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; advanced certifications (e.g., PMP) are an advantage.
• Effective communication, strong organizational and time‑management capabilities, and willingness to work on‑site.
