Assistant Manager – QA & Proofing Unit

About the role

The Assistant Manager – QA & Proofing Unit supports the quality assurance function within Mashreq Global Network Pakistan. You will execute day‑to‑day QA activities, validate reconciliation proofing submissions, track escalations and help close data or process gaps, ensuring consistent application of the control framework across operations.

Key responsibilities

• Validate and review monthly proofing data submitted by operations teams, identify gaps and ensure corrective actions are closed.
• Support QA testing protocols for reconciliation, governance, aging and exception handling.
• Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for validations, issues and escalations.
• Assist in training sessions and awareness programmes on reconciliation hygiene and first‑line QA.
• Track compliance with control SLAs, highlight non‑adherence trends and contribute to thematic reviews and sample‑based testing cycles.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in banking operations, internal controls, QA or audit functions.
• Strong understanding of reconciliation principles, control break classifications and regulatory expectations.
• Excellent analytical ability to review large data sets and detect anomalies.
• Clear, structured communication skills with a focus on rigorous documentation.
• Exposure to operational risk, audit processes and cross‑country governance is preferred.
