Assistant Manager – Technology (QA Engineer)

About the role

The position is part of an agile squad responsible for delivering and maintaining IT applications and services that support the Mashreq strategy. As a QA Engineer, you will ensure the quality of software releases through both manual and automated testing.

Key responsibilities

• Test and validate software output using manual and automated test scripts.
• Develop, coordinate and enforce testing schedules and critical deliverables.
• Own the test and quality‑assurance processes for main releases.
• Implement test automation using open‑source tools such as Playwright and Selenium.
• Conduct performance testing for major releases.
• Collaborate closely with developers and product owners within an agile framework.

Required profile

• Experience working in agile squads as a dedicated tester.
• Strong understanding of software testing life‑cycle.
• Ability to develop and maintain test scripts and schedules.
