Assistant, Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E)

About the role

The Assistant, Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) supports the M&E Officer in implementing the monitoring and evaluation work plan for projects. The role involves collecting, entering, and analysing data to assess the effectiveness of interventions and to support evidence‑based decision‑making in the field.

Key responsibilities

• Apply and adapt IMC’s global M&E guidelines, tools and templates throughout the project cycle.
• Collect qualitative and quantitative data at facility and community levels using paper‑based and mobile data collection tools.
• Support the development and maintenance of program databases and ensure data are disaggregated by sex, age, disability and other relevant variables.
• Conduct field monitoring activities such as post‑distribution monitoring, surveys, baseline and end‑line assessments, and data quality audits.
• Perform data entry, cleaning and routine quality checks in electronic databases.
• Assist in sampling design, both probability and non‑probability techniques, as directed by the M&E Officer.
• Translate data collection tools and qualitative findings between the mission language and English.
• Promote Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) standards and uphold IMC’s code of conduct.

Required profile

• Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Willingness to work in field settings and travel to project sites as needed.

• Use of data collection tools (paper and mobile platforms).
