Assistant Professor - Computer Science & IT

About the role

Superior University is hiring an Assistant Professor in Computer Science and Information Technology. This is a full-time, on-site position based at the Sargodha campus, involving the design and delivery of undergraduate and/or graduate courses using up-to-date curricula and teaching methods.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lectures, lead labs and tutorials, and mentor students
• Supervise projects, grade assignments and exams, and maintain accurate academic records
• Engage in research and scholarly activities and contribute to curriculum development
• Participate in departmental meetings and committees and support events and initiatives that enhance the academic experience
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching quality and student outcomes

Required profile

• Advanced academic background in Computer Science, Information Technology or a closely related field (Master's or PhD preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to teach core CS & IT subjects such as programming fundamentals, data structures, databases, networking and software engineering
• Experience or strong interest in research, publications and scholarly activities
• Prior university-level teaching experience is highly desirable; industry experience in CS & IT is an added advantage

Required skills

• Effective classroom management and student mentoring, with inclusive and supportive teaching
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in departmental and institutional teams and academic committees
• Familiarity with educational technologies, learning management systems and modern pedagogical approaches
