PhD Faculty - Computer Science & IT

About the role

Superior University is hiring a PhD Faculty member in Computer Science and Information Technology for its Sargodha campus. This is a full-time, on-site position focused on designing and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate courses using up-to-date curricula and teaching methods.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare lectures, supervise labs, mentor students, assess academic performance and provide academic advising
• Conduct and publish research, and supervise student research projects and theses
• Take part in curriculum development, departmental meetings and committees
• Engage in community outreach, industry collaboration and accreditation activities

Required profile

• Doctoral degree (PhD) in Computer Science, Information Technology or a closely related field from an accredited institution
• Proven record of academic research, including peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations and funded projects where applicable
• Experience with university-level teaching, course design and assessment
• Experience supervising student projects or theses is highly beneficial
• Willingness to take part in departmental service, quality assurance, accreditation and continuous professional development

Required skills

• Demonstrated expertise in core CS & IT areas such as software engineering, data structures and algorithms, databases, networks, artificial intelligence or related fields
• Ability to use diverse teaching strategies and educational technologies
• Strong communication, mentoring and interpersonal skills, working with colleagues, students and administrative staff
• Commitment to inclusive, student-centered learning and adherence to academic ethics
