Assistant Professor of English Literature

About the role

The Department of English Literature at Riphah International University is seeking a qualified Assistant Professor to join its faculty. The successful candidate will contribute to a high‑quality teaching and learning environment while advancing scholarly research.

Key responsibilities

• Teach assigned English Literature courses in accordance with the faculty workload policy.
• Develop learning materials, schemes of work, and maintain records of student progress, achievement, and attendance.
• Contribute to the creation of module information packs, assignments, and examination questions.
• Assess student work, provide constructive feedback, and support experiential learning.
• Collaborate with academic colleagues and maintain professional relationships within and outside the university.
• Meet annual targets set by the Head of Department and broader objectives defined by the Dean/Director.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in English Literature from a HEC‑recognized university or institution.
• Publications in HEC‑recognized journals.
• Demonstrated ability to meet academic targets and contribute to curriculum development.
• Commitment to continuous improvement of teaching practices.
