Associate Security Information Analyst

About the role
The United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS) is seeking an Associate Security Information Analyst to support security threat analysis and information management for its Pakistan office. Based in Peshawar, the role contributes to the Saving Lives Together (SLT) coordination function, helping UN and partner operations operate safely in challenging environments.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, monitor and assess emerging threat trends affecting United Nations and SLT partners.
- Acquire, validate, collate and analyse open‑source documents and UN publications.
- Summarise relevant material and prepare background materials for threat assessment papers, studies, briefs and reports.
- Present concise reports and synopses to support senior management and partner decision‑making.
- Monitor security developments through electronic media and communications, and analyse statistical data on security incidents at national and sub‑national levels.
Required profile
- Ability to conduct thorough research and analysis of open‑source information.
- Experience preparing clear, concise analytical reports for senior audiences.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under delegated authority.
