Audit Assistant

About the role

BrightSpyre is hiring an Audit Assistant in Karachi. The role covers internal audit planning, compliance and financial reviews, inventory checks, field audits and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing the internal audit work plan and maintain organized audit working papers.
• Review financial records and transactions to ensure compliance with donor agreements, MALC policies and established procedures.
• Conduct physical inventory checks and assess inventory management practices and controls.
• Carry out field visits to review operational controls, verify records and assess field-level activities.
• Prepare clear audit reports, document findings and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• Relevant experience in the NGO/INGO sector is mandatory.
• Knowledge of internal audit procedures, financial documentation, inventory management and donor compliance requirements.
• Fluency in Sindhi is required.
• Ability to conduct field visits as required.

Required skills

• Strong analytical, organizational and report-writing skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
