Azure DevOps Engineer

About the role

Burjline Builders, a construction company offering residential, commercial and industrial construction, project management, design and planning and renovation services in Pakistan, is hiring an Azure DevOps Engineer. The role sits at the engineering core of reliability: infrastructure projects, incident response and root cause analyses, and change requests with ready-to-use runbooks.

Key responsibilities

• Build, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for fast, safe and repeatable deployments.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks with scripts and internal tools.
• Deploy and manage microservices on cloud platforms, including configuration, scaling and troubleshooting.
• Triage production outages, implement immediate fixes and write root cause analyses with permanent fixes assigned to teams.
• Create, review and execute production changes, validating that they are safe to run.
• Participate in incident response and post-incident reviews, and maintain runbooks for critical systems.
• Improve monitoring and observability through dashboards, alerts and log pipelines.
• Write and maintain technical documentation for systems and processes you own.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands-on DevOps engineering experience in a production environment.
• Proven experience with Azure; familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms is a plus.
• Solid Linux fundamentals: processes, networking, permissions and troubleshooting.
• Security-first mindset: IAM least privilege, secrets management and container hardening.

Required skills

• Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and change management.
• CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions or Argo Workflows.
• Docker, Kubernetes and container ecosystems (ECS, EKS or AKS); Helm proficiency required.
• Python or Bash scripting.
• Observability tools such as the LGTM stack, Datadog or CloudWatch.
