Backend Developer (Python)

About the role

Ibtidah Solutions is seeking a Backend Developer proficient in Python to join its engineering team. You will build reliable backend systems, design APIs, and solve real‑world technical challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Python, Django, Flask, and FastAPI.
• Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs.
• Work with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and optimise for performance and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, defects, and production issues.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and cross‑functional teams in an Agile environment.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.

Required profile

• 1.5–4 years of professional experience in Python backend development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Required skills

• Python, OOP, data structures & algorithms
• Django, Flask, FastAPI
• RESTful API design
• MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
• AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda) – a plus
• Git and version control
• Operating system fundamentals (processes, threads, memory management)
