Boom Operator (Part‑time, On‑site)

About the role

Akber Ali & Sons is seeking a part‑time Boom Operator to work on‑site in the Karachi Division. The role involves safely handling boom equipment, positioning loads accurately and supporting daily operational activities.

Key responsibilities

• Operate boom equipment in line with company procedures and safety standards.
• Conduct basic equipment checks before each shift and report any faults or maintenance needs.
• Coordinate with supervisors, technicians and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist with customer‑facing activities when required and adhere to all site safety guidelines.

Required profile

• Secondary school education or equivalent; relevant certifications or licences are a plus.
• Experience operating boom or similar heavy equipment in an industrial or construction setting is preferred.
• Ability to work on‑site in varying conditions, follow instructions accurately and stay calm in high‑activity situations.

Required skills

• Proficient in safe boom operation and equipment handling.
• Basic understanding of equipment maintenance checks and safety regulations.
• Effective communication to coordinate with supervisors and technical staff.
