Business Applications Specialist

About the role

METRO Pakistan is seeking a Business Applications Specialist to bridge the gap between business needs and digital solutions across its wholesale network. You will work closely with stakeholders to design, configure, and maintain critical applications that support retail operations.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and translate business requirements into functional digital solutions.
• Develop, configure, customize and maintain core applications such as BI/DWH, CRM, POS, retail (MMS) and ERP systems.
• Create and manage reports and dashboards using MicroStrategy and QlikView.
• Manage integrations between digital platforms and act as the primary contact for application issue resolution.
• Lead technical implementations and coordinate international projects with internal and global teams.
• Perform monthly and yearly closing activities, ensure data accuracy, protection and quality.
• Identify and drive process improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 2‑3 years of experience on digital platforms within a retail environment.
• Strong understanding of retail business processes and data workflows.
• Experience with ERP (SAP Financials/Invoices) and CRM systems.
