Business Development Consultant

About the role

The Business Development Consultant acts as an internal business consultant, joining management and client meetings to gain a deep understanding of operational processes, client expectations, and organisational challenges. By analysing day‑to‑day workflows and gathering business intelligence, the consultant provides actionable recommendations that enhance efficiency, service quality and overall business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Attend internal management, operational and cross‑functional meetings to capture business activities and challenges.
• Participate in client meetings to understand expectations, objectives and future requirements.
• Review end‑to‑end business processes across departments, identifying bottlenecks, service gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Map, analyse and optimise workflows to boost productivity, quality and client experience.
• Recommend process improvements, automation opportunities and best practices.
• Collaborate with department heads to implement approved initiatives and monitor their effectiveness.
• Measure the impact of improvements using defined operational KPIs.
• Collect, analyse and interpret market, competitor and client data.
• Develop business intelligence reports, dashboards and analytical presentations for senior management.
• Identify emerging market opportunities, client needs and competitive risks.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with experience in business process analysis.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally and influence senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills to translate insights into actionable recommendations.
• Familiarity with business intelligence concepts and market analysis.
