Business Development Executive – Chemical Sector

About the role

We are looking for a driven Business Development Executive to accelerate revenue growth and build long‑term client relationships within the chemical sector. The role focuses on promoting chemical actives across Personal Care, Home Care and Pesticide segments, combining technical knowledge with market development expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop and convert new business opportunities in targeted market segments.
• Achieve assigned sales targets in line with company growth plans.
• Promote chemical actives through technical discussions and solution‑based selling.
• Conduct regular client visits to understand formulation requirements, application challenges and commercial expectations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with formulators, procurement teams and key decision‑makers.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging industry needs.

Required profile

• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry (highly preferred) or BBA/MBA with relevant chemical sales experience.
• 2‑3 years of experience in business development, sales or technical sales within the chemical industry.
• Proven ability to meet sales targets and expand customer portfolios.
• Strong technical understanding of chemical actives and their applications.
• Excellent commercial, negotiation and client relationship management skills.
• Exposure to personal care, home care or pesticide formulations is a strong advantage.
