Canadian Tax Accountant

About the role

Bestax is seeking a motivated Accountant specialized in Canadian tax to join its cross‑border team. You will support both corporate and personal clients, ensuring compliance with Canadian tax regulations while delivering accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file corporate (T2) and personal (T1) tax returns.
• Assist with GST/HST, payroll tax filings and routine submissions.
• Support basic tax planning to minimise liabilities.
• Stay current with Canadian tax rules and CRA guidelines.
• Review financial data for accurate tax calculations.
• Handle tax notices and liaise with authorities when required.
• Maintain bookkeeping records and generate financial reports.
• Collaborate with the team to meet deadlines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 1‑2 years of experience in Canadian taxation and accounting.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian tax laws and CRA compliance.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
• Fluent written and verbal English.
