Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Executive Leadership

About the role
ICAP, the national professional and regulatory body for the accountancy profession in Pakistan, is seeking an accomplished finance leader to join its Executive Leadership Team as Chief Financial Officer. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the CFO will serve as the principal financial advisor to the Council and Executive Committee, steering the Institute’s long‑term financial sustainability.
Key responsibilities
- Define and execute the Institute’s financial strategy, translating it into sustainable outcomes.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, cash‑flow and investment management for reserves, endowment and designated funds.
- Ensure integrity of financial reporting, accounting operations, taxation, payroll governance and statutory compliance.
- Strengthen governance through internal controls, enterprise risk management, audit coordination and procurement oversight.
- Drive finance digital transformation, ERP optimisation, process automation and modernisation of financial systems.
- Manage a high‑performing Finance function and maintain relationships with banks, auditors, regulators and investment advisors.
Required profile
- ICAP member with at least 10 years post‑qualification experience across finance, accounting, treasury, planning, budgeting, taxation and investment management.
- Minimum 4 years in a senior finance leadership role responsible for organisational financial strategy and governance.
- Proven track record in financial reporting, statutory compliance, treasury, external audits and stakeholder management.
- Experience with ERP‑enabled operations; reporting to Boards, Audit Committees or Executive Committees is a strong advantage.
