Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Group Finance Lead

About the role

The client, a diversified UAE‑based group, is seeking an experienced, hands‑on Chief Financial Officer to lead group‑level financial control, accounting, taxation, banking, compliance and reporting. Reporting directly to the Group CEO/Board, the CFO will own consolidated financials and drive financial strategy across Pakistan and the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare consolidated monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for all group entities.
• Manage cash flow, treasury activities and banking relationships in AED, USD and GBP.
• Own UAE VAT registration, filing and Corporate Tax compliance.
• Lead annual audits and coordinate with external auditors.
• Control high‑value mobile phone/electronics inventory with IMEI‑level tracking, shrinkage investigation and gross‑profit analysis per transaction.
• Design and enforce internal controls, fraud‑prevention measures and segregation of duties.
• Lead and mentor finance teams across Pakistan and the UAE.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting and business planning for expansion decisions.

Required profile

• Fully qualified CA / ACCA / CMA / CPA or equivalent.
• 8–12 years of total finance experience, including 3–5 years in a senior finance role (CFO, FD, FC or Head of Finance).
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT/Corporate Tax regulations.
• Experience in trading, electronics, logistics or inventory‑based businesses is strongly preferred.
• Proven track record managing multi‑company/group accounts.
• Confident, hands‑on attitude with a focus on investigating discrepancies.
• Willingness to travel to the UAE as required.
