Child Protection Case Management Consultant – 6-month contract (Remote, travel)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a qualified consultant to support the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in strengthening and operationalising a coordinated, standardized Child Protection Case Management and Referral System (CPCRMS) across priority districts. The 6‑month assignment will be home‑based with periodic travel to Peshawar and selected field sites.

Key responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on technical assistance to the Child Protection Commission and District Child Protection Units (DCPUs) to consolidate and scale up UNICEF‑supported tools and procedures.
• Facilitate capacity‑building workshops for DCPU staff and allied service providers on case management, referral pathways and data quality assurance.
• Support the development and implementation of standard operating procedures, monitoring frameworks and reporting mechanisms.
• Strengthen inter‑agency coordination among social welfare, health, education, police and justice sectors.
• Assist in improving data management systems to ensure reliable monitoring and decision‑making.

Required profile

• University degree in social work, child protection, public policy, or a related field.
• Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in child protection case management or similar humanitarian programmes.
• Demonstrated experience working with government agencies and NGOs in complex, multi‑risk environments.
• Strong understanding of the protection context in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
