Chiller Operator – HVAC Systems Specialist

About the role

The Chiller Operator at HRSI is responsible for operating and monitoring chillers and chilled‑water systems to ensure optimal cooling performance in a plant environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor chillers, chilled‑water pumps, condenser‑water pumps, cooling towers and air handling units according to approved procedures.
• Continuously check temperature, pressure, flow, current, voltage and refrigerant status, logging daily readings.
• Respond promptly to BMS alarms, detect abnormal vibrations, noises, leaks or performance drops, and coordinate troubleshooting with HVAC technicians.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance tasks and assist with chiller changeover and sequencing.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety and energy‑efficiency practices in the plant room.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with Carrier chillers and related HVAC equipment.
• Strong attention to detail for detecting abnormal operating conditions.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with technicians and supervisors.
