Civil Engineer - Residential Construction

About the role

Malik Brothers, a Lahore-based construction company delivering apartment and housing projects, is looking for a Civil Engineer to support the planning, execution and quality control of residential construction at project sites in Lahore. The role is site-based and suits an engineer who is organized, detail-oriented and comfortable balancing technical requirements with practical construction needs.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with project teams and contractors so that work follows approved drawings, specifications, schedules and safety requirements.
• Review architectural and structural drawings, specifications and bills of quantities for constructability and coordination.
• Monitor day-to-day site activities, including earthwork, foundations, concrete, masonry and finishing works.
• Check dimensions, levels, materials and workmanship against approved plans and quality standards.
• Coordinate with supervisors, contractors, suppliers and consultants to resolve site issues and keep work progressing.
• Prepare site reports, measurement records, work progress updates and documentation of delays or changes.
• Support quantity estimation, material planning, work scheduling and cost-conscious execution.
• Promote safe working practices and report non-compliance, defects and technical risks.

Required profile

• Working knowledge of civil engineering principles and residential construction methods, especially apartments and houses.
• Ability to interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications and construction details.
• Competence in site supervision, work measurement, material inspection and progress monitoring.
• Understanding of concrete, reinforcement, foundations, masonry and finishing quality checks.
• Familiarity with quantity takeoffs, bills of quantities, basic cost control and construction scheduling.
• Clear coordination and communication with site teams, contractors, consultants and suppliers.
• Strong attention to detail, practical problem-solving, record keeping and commitment to site safety.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with project planning tools is an advantage

What we offer

• Monthly salary of PKR 60,000 to 80,000
