Compliance Operations Officer – Remittance

About the role

The Compliance Operations Officer – Remittance ensures that all remittance transactions are processed accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. This role monitors operational risk, supports incident management, and serves as a key liaison for compliance inquiries.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure strict adherence to State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) regulations and other relevant authorities governing remittance operations.
• Monitor remittance transactions continuously to detect and report suspicious activities in line with SBP directives.
• Review and verify customer documentation to meet SBP Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements.
• Develop and strengthen internal controls to mitigate compliance risks in remittance services.
• Conduct due diligence on remittance service providers, partners, and vendors.
• Coordinate with internal teams to manage and mitigate compliance incidents.
• Address customer inquiries related to compliance, providing guidance consistent with SBP regulations.

Required profile

• Graduate with 3‑5 years of experience in banking or financial services, preferably in compliance operations.
• Knowledge of SBP Prudential Regulations and AML/CFT/CPF regulations.
• Ability to supervise and report non‑compliance matters.
• Strong analytical and quantitative abilities.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
