Consultant and Senior Consultant - Internal Audit

About the role

We are expanding our Karachi office to strengthen our internal audit capabilities across the Middle East. As a Consultant or Senior Consultant in Internal Audit, you will work with a diverse client base, applying your audit expertise to improve control environments and mitigate risks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute internal audit engagements for clients in various industries.
• Assess internal control effectiveness, identify improvement areas, and recommend risk‑mitigating actions.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop comprehensive audit plans.
• Perform detailed testing of financial statements, operational processes, and regulatory compliance.
• Evaluate design and operating effectiveness of key controls.
• Prepare clear audit reports that highlight findings, recommendations, and action plans.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement recommended improvements.
• Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on complex audit issues.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years experience in internal auditing or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of auditing standards, techniques, and methodologies.
• Excellent analytical abilities to identify risks and propose effective solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interaction.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated leadership potential and willingness to mentor junior staff.

Required skills

• Proficiency with audit software.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite.
