Consultant/Senior Consultant – Indirect Tax (MENA)

About the role

We are seeking a Consultant or Senior Consultant to join EY’s Indirect Tax team, focusing on MENA‑region VAT and customs matters. The role involves advising clients on complex VAT transactions, supporting dispute resolution with tax authorities, and contributing to cross‑border tax projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide VAT advice on new and complex transactions across multiple MENA jurisdictions.
• Assist clients in resolving classification disputes and other tax authority issues.
• Prepare reports, schedules and deliverables for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with a regional network of tax professionals to combine cross‑border experience with local tax knowledge.
• Develop deep understanding of Customs Law, free‑trade agreements, valuation, classification and origin rules.

Required profile

• Professional qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, CTA, ADIT or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in indirect tax, VAT/GST and customs advisory.
• Strong client‑facing and communication skills in English.
• Ability to identify risk, manage projects and meet deadlines.
