Craft & Stitching Expert (Craft Instructor)

About the role

Alif Laila Book Bus Society (ALBBS), founded in 1978 and working to promote literacy and education in Pakistan, is hiring a full-time, on-site Craft & Stitching Expert in Lahore. The role involves running craft and stitching sessions for girls and women in communities, developing creative projects and sampling and making products for the society's craft shop.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct engaging craft and stitching sessions for girls and women in communities
• Develop creative projects
• Sample and make products for the craft shop

Required profile

• Proficiency in crafting and stitching techniques
• Experience conducting hands-on craft sessions for children, girls and women
• Prior experience of stitching work
• Knowledge of arts and crafts projects suitable for children
• Degree or certification in arts, crafts or a related field preferred

Required skills

• Strong creativity and artistic skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team

What we offer

• Fixed salary of Rs. 35,000, negotiable after a 3-month probation period based strictly on performance
• Working hours of 9am to 3pm, Monday to Friday, with alternative Saturdays off
