Data Center Design & Deployment Engineer

About the role

The position involves supervising and executing the deployment of precision cooling, POD containment, UPS, and related infrastructure for Tier III data centers. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure installations meet design specifications and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise installation of CRAC/CRAH, in‑row cooling, hot aisle/cold aisle POD containment, UPS systems, battery banks, PDUs, rack systems and cable management.
• Ensure work follows approved drawings, OEM guidelines and project specifications.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, HVAC and networking teams during implementation.
• Conduct site surveys, technical assessments and prepare technical proposals, BOQs, SLDs, layout drawings, cooling and load calculations.
• Perform FAT, SAT and integrated system testing, and verify operational performance of power and cooling systems.
• Execute preventive maintenance, troubleshoot power, cooling and environmental issues, and monitor alarms, temperature, humidity and power health.
• Maintain as‑built documentation, test reports, commissioning records and ensure compliance with TIA‑942, Uptime Institute and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience designing and deploying data center infrastructure, preferably Tier III.
• Certifications such as CDCP, CDCS, CDCE, OEM UPS/Cooling certifications, Electrical Safety, HVAC, OSHA/HSE.

• Precision cooling systems (CRAC, CRAH, in‑row cooling).
• POD containment, hot aisle/cold aisle design.
• UPS systems, battery banks, PDUs and power distribution.
• Environmental monitoring, HVAC fundamentals and BMS/DCIM familiarity.
• Cooling load calculations, power load calculations and electrical drawing interpretation.
• Knowledge of TIA‑942, Uptime Institute standards and safety regulations.
