Data Engineer

About the role

Medcare MSO is seeking a Data Engineer to design and develop scalable data extraction, web‑scraping and automation solutions that feed its AI‑driven healthcare platforms. You will collaborate closely with AI, Machine Learning and Product teams to acquire, transform and deliver data from a wide range of sources.

Key responsibilities

• Build and optimise end‑to‑end data pipelines for structured and unstructured sources.
• Develop robust web‑scraping solutions using Python frameworks such as Scrapy, BeautifulSoup, Selenium and Playwright.
• Create browser‑automation workflows handling proxy rotation, CAPTCHA, session management and fingerprinting.
• Automate desktop‑application data extraction with UiPath, Automation Anywhere or Power Automate Desktop.
• Write efficient Python scripts and SQL queries for large‑scale data processing and validation.
• Design ETL/ELT workflows to ensure high‑quality, consistent datasets.
• Extract data from scanned documents using OCR tools like Tesseract or ABBYY.
• Integrate REST‑API data into automated ingestion pipelines.
• Collaborate with ML engineers to provide clean, feature‑ready data for model training.
• Maintain data storage solutions, including relational databases, data warehouses and data lakes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 2–4 years of hands‑on experience in data engineering, web scraping or automation engineering.
