Data Protection Officer

About the role

The Data Protection Officer (DPO) will ensure the organisation complies with data protection laws and integrates privacy practices into the broader information security strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor privacy law changes and update policies and procedures accordingly.
• Conduct privacy impact assessments for new projects, processes, or technologies.
• Manage data subject access requests and respond to privacy inquiries.
• Provide training and raise privacy awareness across the organisation.
• Perform internal privacy audits, identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with procurement and third‑party risk teams to ensure vendor compliance with privacy requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in technology, engineering or information security.
• 6‑7 years of hands‑on experience in data and information security within a large enterprise.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration and leadership abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of data protection frameworks and best practices.
• Ability to assess privacy impact, classify data and define protective measures.
• Understanding of data privacy strategy alignment with information security goals.
