Deputy Store Manager – Operations & Inventory

About the role

The Vertical is seeking an experienced Deputy Store Manager to lead day‑to‑day store operations, ensure accurate inventory control, and supervise a dedicated store team. This position plays a critical role in supporting construction and real‑estate projects by guaranteeing timely material availability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily store, inventory, and material handling activities.
• Oversee receiving, storage, issuance, and movement of materials.
• Maintain precise stock records and conduct regular physical counts.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure timely availability of required materials.
• Supervise store staff, coordinate workflow, and ensure compliance with SOPs.
• Collaborate with procurement, construction/project, finance, and other departments.
• Prepare documentation, stock reconciliation reports, and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Approximately 10 years of experience in store, inventory, warehouse, or material management.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Management, or a related field.
• Experience in real‑estate, construction, or property development is preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with ERP or inventory management systems.
