Design Quality Officer

About the role

The Design Quality Officer will ensure that quality assurance systems and controls are effectively applied across production and supporting functions. You will lead in‑process inspections, monitor compliance with the Design Quality Management System (DQMS), analyse customer complaints and drive corrective actions to prevent defects and promote continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑process QA inspections on assembly lines and assigned production areas to verify compliance with specifications.
• Monitor DQMS implementation across departments, ensuring adherence to approved requirements.
• Perform audits of Design, R&D and Master Item Data to guarantee system accuracy and product integrity.
• Analyse monthly customer complaint trends, identify recurring issues and oversee CAPA closure.
• Investigate damage‑related complaints, determine root causes and coordinate containment and corrective actions.
• Verify that SOPs, work instructions, quality standards and process controls are correctly applied.
• Prepare quality reports, dashboards and performance analyses to highlight trends and areas needing management attention.
• Support internal, customer and certification audits, including documentation preparation and follow‑up.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives focused on defect prevention, process capability and operational excellence.
• Maintain accurate QA records and traceability while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
• 3‑6 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands‑on experience with in‑process inspection, quality audits, customer complaints, CAPA and root‑cause analysis.
• Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems, SOPs, process controls and quality standards.
• Knowledge of DQMS, product data management, Design/R&D processes and Master Item Data is a plus.
• Excellent analytical abilities for reporting, dashboard creation and trend analysis.
• Familiarity with audit processes, documentation and traceability requirements.
