DevOps Engineer – Remote (100k USD)

About the role
You will own the reliability of a portfolio of 50+ SaaS products, working in unknown AWS environments to achieve >99.9% availability. The role blends hands‑on engineering, incident response, and automation, with daily use of AI assistants to accelerate problem solving.
Key responsibilities
- Design and execute infrastructure migrations, consolidations, and production‑grade automations.
- Diagnose production failures, deploy immediate remediations, and author thorough root‑cause analyses.
- Author, review, and safely deploy changes across development, staging, and production environments.
- Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and runbooks that prevent repeat incidents.
- Block risky changes, distinguish infrastructure issues from application bugs, and route remediation to the correct owners.
Required profile
- Proven experience managing a large SaaS product or portfolio.
- Expert‑level knowledge of AWS cloud services.
- Strong production‑grade development skills in Python or JavaScript.
- Ability to break complex projects into daily tasks and deliver reliable code.
- Comfort using AI tooling to accelerate investigation and automation.
