Digital Signage Technical Consultant

About the role

The client is looking for an experienced Digital Signage Technical Consultant to provide ongoing technical guidance and specialist support to its engineering team. You will help shape, review and improve high‑performing, secure and reliable commercial digital signage applications across a broad device and OS estate.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical consultancy and subject‑matter expertise on commercial digital signage application development and support.
• Advise on architecture, performance optimisation, resilience, security and operational supportability across Windows, Android, Samsung Tizen and LG webOS platforms.
• Review designs, code and release plans for compatibility with multiple firmware, browser‑engine and OS versions.
• Diagnose and resolve complex platform‑specific issues affecting playback, media rendering, device communication, stability and remote updates.
• Define strategies for cross‑platform testing, device certification and regression prevention.
• Guide secure application design, device hardening, authentication, secure communications and vulnerability mitigation.
• Provide expertise on cloud CMS architectures, content publishing, scheduling, player registration, remote monitoring and fleet management.

Required profile

• 5+ years experience developing, integrating, supporting or consulting on commercial digital signage applications.
• Demonstrable experience with Windows, Android, Samsung Tizen and LG webOS platforms and heterogeneous hardware fleets.
• Strong knowledge of cloud CMS platforms and architectures for digital signage.
• Proven ability to identify and resolve platform‑specific performance, stability and connectivity issues.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical issues to engineers and non‑technical stakeholders.
