Director of Customs Operations

About the role

The Director of Customs Operations leads YTO-HRL Logistics' customs department in Lahore, ensuring compliance with Pakistani customs regulations and supporting seamless import‑export activities.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the customs department structure, recruiting and training declarants, documentation specialists and compliance officers.
• Develop and enforce SOPs for customs declarations, compliance reviews and audit response plans.
• Build and manage customs clearance networks at major Pakistani ports (Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, SAPT, KICT) and oversee bonded warehouse operations.
• Lead the application for an All‑Pakistan Customs Clearing Agent License and support the team’s qualification for the Pakistan Customs exam.
• Maintain relationships with Pakistan Customs (FBR), Pakistan Single Window, industry associations and monitor policy, tariff and FTA updates.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with Pakistan customs operations and a proven ability to lead a high‑performing customs team.
• Fluency in English and proficiency in Urdu.
• Strong knowledge of Pakistan customs laws, including the Customs Act 1969 and Customs Rules 2001.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Pakistan Single Window (PSW/WeBOC) operational tools.
• Expertise in customs clearance processes, bonded warehouse management and audit handling.
