Electrical Maintenance Shift Supervisor

About the role

Shangrila Foods (Pvt) Ltd. is hiring a Shift In-Charge Electrical in Karachi to oversee the electrical systems during assigned shifts. The role manages a team of two maintenance personnel and ensures continuous, safe and efficient plant operations. It is a hands-on position covering electrical testing, inspection, troubleshooting and emergency response, with flexibility to work A, B and C shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of two electrical maintenance technicians during each shift.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting and fault diagnosis to minimise downtime and equipment failures.
• Carry out regular electrical testing and inspections of plant equipment for safety and regulatory compliance.
• Respond quickly to electrical emergencies and faults to restore operations with minimal disruption.
• Maintain machine guard integrity and enforce shop floor safety standards.
• Manage key electrical components such as MDBs, MCCs, VFDs and PLCs.
• Use SAP and MS Excel for maintenance tracking, reporting and analysis.
• Apply Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen principles to improve maintenance and efficiency.
• Oversee energy efficiency initiatives and collaborate with production and maintenance teams.
• Plan preventive and predictive maintenance activities and ensure compliance with electrical safety standards.
• Train junior team members and prepare shift reports on maintenance activities, faults and corrective actions.

Required profile

• At least five years of experience in electrical maintenance and plant operations.
• Strong expertise in electrical troubleshooting, fault diagnosis and emergency response.
• Knowledge of diagnostic routines and complex shift-related plant maintenance issues.
• Commitment to safety, reliability and operational performance.
• Flexibility to work A, B and C shifts as required by production schedules.

Required skills
