Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Shangrila Foods (Pvt) Ltd. is hiring a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in Karachi. The engineer implements total productive maintenance (TPM) principles, runs condition monitoring to anticipate equipment failures and prevents breakdowns, coordinates spare parts availability and keeps motor control centers and factory machinery running at peak condition through preventive and corrective maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and run preventive maintenance schedules to reduce breakdowns and improve equipment reliability.
• Perform predictive maintenance and condition monitoring, and troubleshoot mechanical faults promptly.
• Carry out TPM activities and maintain motor control centers and all factory machinery.
• Use SAP S/4HANA PM/MM for maintenance planning, work orders and spare parts coordination.
• Analyze MTTR and MTBF metrics to find improvements and reduce downtime.
• Read technical drawings and AutoCAD layouts for accurate maintenance planning and fault diagnosis.
• Service workshop machinery, use alignment equipment and coordinate spare parts with procurement and inventory teams.
• Maintain maintenance records, logs and reports, follow health and safety protocols and work with production and engineering teams to limit disruption to manufacturing schedules.
• Propose upgrades to maintenance strategies and existing systems or workflows.
