Encryption & Data Resiliency Engineer

About the role

Mindwhiz is looking for an experienced Encryption & Data Resiliency Engineer to lead the design and operation of enterprise‑wide encryption, backup and disaster‑recovery solutions. The role ensures business continuity by protecting critical data across virtual, physical and cloud environments while meeting security and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain encryption and data‑protection architectures, including centralized key management and HSM administration.
• Manage and optimise backup infrastructures on Veeam, Dell Avamar, Data Domain and Zerto platforms.
• Configure Zerto Virtual Manager, Virtual Replication Appliances and Virtual Protection Groups for continuous data protection and replication.
• Conduct regular backup monitoring, restore testing, disaster‑recovery drills and maintain RTO/RPO targets.
• Apply system updates, firmware upgrades and security patches to encryption and backup solutions.
• Collaborate with security teams to deploy immutable and air‑gapped backup strategies.
• Support infrastructure projects, vendor assessments, asset management and compliance audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline.
• 5–7 years of hands‑on experience with data‑protection, backup, disaster‑recovery and encryption technologies.
• Proven ability to work independently in a hybrid environment and to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
