About the role

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age‑appropriate English lessons for Grades 4‑6 using varied instructional strategies.

• Create a classroom atmosphere that encourages participation, critical thinking, and respect.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and provide targeted support for struggling learners.
• Assess student progress regularly, maintain accurate records, and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum alignment, departmental planning, and professional development.
• Support school activities and engage in parent‑teacher interactions.

Required profile

• Strong command of English grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and writing mechanics for upper‑primary learners.
• Experience designing structured lesson plans with clear objectives and assessment strategies.
• Effective classroom management skills for students aged 9‑12.
• Ability to differentiate instruction and create scaffolded activities for mixed‑ability groups.
• Clear verbal communication and constructive feedback skills for students and parents.
• Collaborative mindset to work with grade‑level colleagues.
