Environmental Manager

About the role

SGS Pakistan Pvt Ltd is looking for a dedicated Environmental Manager (also referred to as Manager/Deputy Manager) in Karachi to oversee and lead environmental projects that comply with regulatory standards and meet client expectations. The role acts as the main point of contact for clients on environmental matters and supervises a team of about 20 people.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all environmental projects meet client requirements and deadlines and comply with regulatory standards.
• Act as the primary contact for clients on all environmental project-related inquiries and coordination.
• Conduct environmental audits and risk assessments, and prepare detailed regulatory reports to maintain compliance.
• Prepare, review and submit technical proposals, tenders and project bids to win new business.
• Supervise and manage daily environmental operations, including overseeing a 20-person team in field and office settings.
• Review technical reports and analyse environmental data to ensure accuracy and relevance for client projects.
• Coordinate meetings with clients and provide expert technical advice throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify and develop new environmental consultancy opportunities and implement best practices to expand the business.
