Executive – International Logistics Manager

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Executive to lead end‑to‑end ocean and air freight operations. The role involves managing export and import shipments, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Handle ocean export and import shipments, including LCL and FCL consolidation/deconsolidation.
• Coordinate air freight export/import shipments, managing bookings, uplift, and delivery.
• Liaise with shipping lines, NVOCCs, airlines, and CFS/ICD agents for space booking, rate negotiation, and tracking.
• Prepare and verify shipping documents such as Bill of Lading, Airway Bill, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, and Letter of Credit documents.
• Work with customs house agents to ensure smooth customs clearance.
• Track shipments and proactively communicate status, delays, or exceptions to internal teams and clients.
• Manage costing, quotations, and vendor negotiations for ocean and air freight movements.
• Ensure compliance with Incoterms and documentation standards.
• Coordinate with warehouse/CFS teams for cargo stuffing, destuffing, and inspection.
• Resolve discrepancies related to documents, demurrage, detention, and freight invoices.
• Maintain accurate records and MIS reports of shipments, costs, and vendor performance.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented and proactive professional with hands‑on exposure to freight forwarding.
• Strong understanding of ocean and air freight processes and international trade regulations.
• Excellent coordination skills with carriers, customs agents, and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ocean and air freight documentation (BL, AWB, commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin).
• Familiarity with customs clearance procedures and Incoterms.
• Experience in vendor negotiation and cost management.
