Expert Solutions Engineer – Infrastructure (Storage, Compute & Virtualization)

About the role

The Expert Solutions Engineer will lead technical pre‑sales engagements for enterprise compute, storage and virtualization solutions, working across multiple OEM portfolios and coordinating with OEMs, distributors, partners and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Engage customers to capture business, workload and performance requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Design scalable infrastructure architectures covering servers, GPU/accelerated compute, SAN/NAS/object storage, hyper‑converged platforms and virtualization.
• Produce BoQ/BoM, sizing calculations, architecture diagrams, compliance matrices and respond to RFI/RFQ/RFPs.
• Lead workshops, proof‑of‑concept sessions and technical presentations with OEM and system‑integrator experts.
• Coordinate with network, security, cloud and application SMEs to address cross‑domain dependencies.

Required profile

• 5‑6 years of enterprise pre‑sales or solution‑architecture experience in compute, storage and virtualization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• Hands‑on experience with multiple OEM technologies (Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Huawei, IBM, NetApp, Pure Storage, Nutanix, VMware, Microsoft, etc.).
• Proven record of customer engagement, requirement gathering, solution sizing and documentation.
• Strong technical writing, presentation and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V, Nutanix AHV).
• Backup, recovery, DR and data‑protection solutions.
• Familiarity with AI/GPU workloads, container platforms and hybrid‑cloud environments.
