Field Support Officer

About the role

The Field Support Officer will assist in the installation, commissioning and maintenance of drip‑irrigation systems, ensuring field activities follow approved designs, project plans and SOPs. The role also includes after‑sales support and coordination of field resources.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing drip‑irrigation projects with Area and Zonal Managers.
• Review designs and installation plans to understand project requirements.
• Coordinate manpower, tools and materials for timely completion.
• Verify that materials received match the approved HEIS proposal and are in good condition.
• Support installation of head units and pipe networks according to layouts and SOPs.
• Report site issues and obtain approvals before any design changes.
• Assist in commissioning and train farmers or operators on system operation and maintenance.
• Handle after‑sales complaints, conduct site visits and coordinate with local technicians.
• Maintain records of material movement, expenses, site visits, maintenance and replacements.
• Support contractor coordination and verification of work and bills.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of mechanical and civil works, pipe fitting and plumbing.
• Good coordination, communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to follow technical instructions, designs and SOPs.
• Problem‑solving mindset with a customer‑focused approach.
• Willingness to work in the field, travel to project sites and meet deadlines.
