Finance & Accounts Officer – QuickBooks & US Retail Focus

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Finance & Accounts Officer to join our team. The role supports daily transaction processing, audit preparation, and continuous improvement of financial workflows for U.S. retail and fuel operations.

Key responsibilities

• Review, clean and reconcile daily store transactions such as sales, refunds, fuel purchases and inventory adjustments.
• Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks, including journal entries, bank reconciliations and expense categorisation.
• Generate periodic financial reports, spot discrepancies and suggest corrective actions.
• Assist internal audits by preparing documentation and answering transaction‑level queries.
• Collaborate with U.S. finance teams to ensure compliance with corporate accounting standards.
• Identify inefficiencies in transaction workflows and recommend process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, ACCA/CA or related field.
• More than 1 year of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in a BPO or shared‑services environment.
• Experience working with U.S. clients in retail or fuel sectors.

Required skills

• QuickBooks Online or Desktop.
• Strong understanding of U.S. accounting principles and retail transaction workflows.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with POS systems and inventory reconciliation.
• Knowledge of sales tax and fuel tax reporting.
