Finance Associate (Night Shift)

About the role

Mayatax Pakistan is looking for a detail-oriented, analytical and proactive Finance Associate to join its internal finance team. You will manage a broad scope of internal financial operations, working closely with internal leadership and cross-functional department heads to keep financial records accurate, ensure compliance and improve processes. The position is fully onsite and requires working a permanent night shift.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end internal payroll, including salary disbursements, deductions, tax withholdings, expense reimbursements and compliance.
• Help develop, monitor and update annual budgets, departmental allocations and periodic forecasts.
• Perform variance analysis between actual revenues and expenses and budgeted targets.
• Carry out day-to-day bookkeeping, maintain the general ledger, manage accounts payable and track internal cash flow.
• Run regular reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Lead internal month-end and year-end close activities.
• Produce management reports, P&L statements and cash flow summaries.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements across financial systems, SOPs and internal controls.

Required profile

• ACCA / CA part-qualified, or a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 1-3 years of core experience in internal corporate finance and accounting.
• Experience with end-to-end corporate payroll, expense tracking and bank reconciliations.
• Ability to automate workflows and meet strict monthly reporting deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Excel (financial modelling, Pivot Tables, advanced lookups).
• Accounting platforms and ERPs such as QuickBooks Online, Xero or Zoho Books.
• Understanding of internal controls, accrual accounting and month-end close.
