Finance Manager - Financial Planning & Reporting

About the role

The Punjab Skills Development Fund is hiring a Finance Manager in Lahore to oversee the fund's financial activities and safeguard its financial health. The role leads financial planning, budgeting, operations and reporting, directs cash flow management, supervises internal controls and coordinates external audits. It involves managing a small team of finance professionals and requires deep expertise in IFRS standards, provincial tax regulations and the TVET sector.

Key responsibilities

• Set finance department objectives and targets for the coming year using comparative and trend analysis, and lead the annual budgeting and planning exercise
• Ensure proper financial controls are in place and advise on their application
• Prepare monthly reports for management and donors, including accounts, budget versus actual analysis and special reports
• Review the general ledger regularly and liaise with external auditors to complete the audit on time
• Supervise weekly and monthly withholding tax details, prepare PSIDs and file monthly and annual tax returns and certificates with tax authorities and vendors
• Manage finance operations, prepare management accounts and estimate cash flows based on invoicing schedules and approved budgets
• Highlight challenges, propose solutions and present special reports requested by the CFO
• Lead the team, ensure equal learning and growth opportunities and foster an engaged, committed team

Required profile

• At least ten years of experience in finance
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement financial strategies that optimise company resources
• Hands-on knowledge of IAS and IFRS and strong practical skills in financial reporting and budgeting
• Expertise in business processes and systems, including SAP
