Finance Manager - Heavy Manufacturing (Steel)

About the role

Alpha Cast is looking for an experienced Finance & Accounts Manager in Lahore to lead its finance and accounting department in the heavy manufacturing sector, covering steel melting, induction furnace operations and rolling mills. The role manages a team of three professionals and works closely with plant management to control production costs and secure financing.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the finance and accounting department, including a team of three staff members.
• Prepare monthly profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow reports.
• Develop and oversee financial budgets and forecasts tailored to steel production.
• Monitor cost per ton of billet production and gross profit margins.
• Manage banking relationships, working capital facilities, letters of credit and machinery financing.
• Prepare financial projections and documentation for bank financing and credit applications.
• Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, taxation and inventory accounting.
• Ensure compliance with FBR, SECP, sales tax, income tax and audit requirements.
• Implement ERP-based accounting systems and strengthen internal controls.
• Support financial audits and keep up with industry financial trends.

Required profile

• CA, ACMA, ACCA or equivalent qualification.
• 5 to 15 years of relevant industrial experience.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of ERP and accounting software.
• Financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
