Finance Manager – Lead Finance Operations

About the role

Mamo is seeking a Finance Manager to own and drive day‑to‑day finance operations across the business. You will lead a small finance team while staying hands‑on with the numbers, improving processes, and ensuring financial health as the company scales.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor cash flow and financial health, identifying risks early.
• Build and maintain reporting, budgeting and analytical tools for leadership.
• Lead and continuously improve the monthly close process.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and cash management.
• Design lightweight yet robust controls for vendor and other payables.
• Ensure accurate and timely VAT and regulatory filings.
• Manage auditor relationships and external finance partners.
• Architect and enhance financial and accounting systems and documentation.
• Lead strategic partnerships with banks, insurers and other financial service providers.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on accounting or finance experience, preferably in fintech, high‑growth startup or financial services.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Deep knowledge of accounting principles, month‑end close processes and financial controls.
• Experience working across multiple legal entities and currencies.
• Familiarity with UAE regulatory and tax requirements is a plus.
• High attention to detail and a low tolerance for errors.
• Builder mindset – continuously improve processes rather than just maintain them.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑moving environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero (or similar).
