Finance Manager - Real Estate

About the role

A client in Lahore is looking for a Finance Manager for its real estate business. The role oversees financial operations in the real estate sector, supervises month-end, quarter-end and year-end closings under IFRS and IAS, prepares financial statements and manages a small team of two people.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing and review general ledger entries, cost accounting for land, development and construction and inventory/plot costs
• Prepare financial reporting packages for senior management, including board decks, variance analysis and profitability by project phase
• Develop and supervise annual financial statements and coordinate with external auditors
• Monitor cash flow and create financial models and cash flow projections for housing and commercial projects
• Maintain customer records in the ERP system and track and post customer installments; investigate and resolve discrepancies such as short payments, overpayments and duplicate postings
• Handle transfer processes, refunds and cancellations, and coordinate with transfer and customer care desks
• Support internal and external auditors, prepare receipt vouchers and conduct sample checks
• Handle tax audits, respond to notices and liaise with tax consultants
• Lead and manage a team of two accounting professionals

Required profile

• ACCA qualification or CA-Intermediate and an MBA in Finance
• At least five years of experience in accounts receivable within a reputable real estate company
• Leadership and management capability to oversee a team of two
