Financial Accounting Specialist

About the role

The Financial Accounting Specialist ensures the accuracy and integrity of all financial records, supports month‑end and year‑end closing activities, and delivers timely financial reporting. This position plays a key role in maintaining transparent and compliant accounting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger by recording all transactions in accordance with accounting principles.
• Reconcile sub‑ledgers and the general ledger, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare accurate financial reports and meet reporting deadlines.
• Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations, monitoring cash balances for operational liquidity.
• Execute monthly account reconciliations, journal adjustments, and reconcile bank, credit‑card, and cash accounts.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing by preparing reconciliations and required financial schedules.
• Ensure all financial records comply with company policies and applicable accounting standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
• Strong analytical abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills to meet strict deadlines.
• Effective communication and problem‑solving capabilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as Zoho Books, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and financial reporting.
